This home is a Mid-Century Modern style home tucked among Spanish Revival homes in Kensington. The owners wanted to remove the front lawn and replace it with low water plants. Because the existing plants along the front of the house were healthy and in keeping with the Asian/tropical influence of that period, we kept most of them. Added a focal point planting to accent the front windows and planted a ground cover to replace the lawn but still give the effect of a greenscape.

The original tree selection in the stone planting circles was a Red flowering Crepe Myrtle. During the installation, the clients substituted Olive trees.
